Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains the rules and conditions related to appointment cancellations and refunds on the TalkMedX platform. By booking an appointment through TalkMedX, you agree to the terms described in this policy.

1. Appointment Cancellation by Users

Users may cancel their appointment through the TalkMedX platform before the scheduled consultation time.

Cancellation rules may include:

  • If the appointment is cancelled at least 2 hours before the scheduled time, the user may be eligible for a full refund.
  • If the appointment is cancelled less than 2 hours before the scheduled time, the refund eligibility may be limited or unavailable depending on the therapist's policy.
  • Each therapist may have their own cancellation rules which will be displayed at the time of booking.

2. Appointment Cancellation by Therapists

If a therapist cancels an appointment due to any reason such as:

  • Emergency
  • Unavailability
  • Technical issues

Users will be eligible for either:

  • Full refund, or
  • Rescheduling of the appointment

Users will be notified through email, SMS, or platform notifications.

3. Missed Appointments (No-Show)

If a user fails to attend the scheduled consultation without cancelling the appointment beforehand:

  • The appointment may be considered a No-Show.
  • In such cases, the consultation fee may not be refundable.

4. Technical Issues During Consultation

If a consultation cannot be completed due to:

  • Platform technical issues
  • Server errors
  • Major connectivity problems on TalkMedX side

Users may be eligible for:

  • Rescheduling of the appointment, or
  • Partial or full refund, depending on the situation.

5. Refund Processing Time

If a refund is approved, it will be processed using the original payment method.

Typical refund timelines:

  • UPI / Wallet Payments: 2–5 business days
  • Debit / Credit Card Payments: 5–10 business days
  • Net Banking: 5–7 business days

Actual processing time may vary depending on the payment provider or bank.

6. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds may not be provided in the following situations:

  • Missed appointment without cancellation
  • Late cancellation beyond the allowed cancellation period
  • Incorrect booking made by the user
  • Consultation completed successfully

7. Platform Service Fee

TalkMedX may charge a platform service fee for facilitating the booking and consultation. In some cases: the platform fee may be non-refundable, even if the consultation fee is refunded.

8. Fraudulent or Misuse Activities

If TalkMedX detects fraudulent activity, misuse of the platform, or repeated cancellation abuse, we reserve the right to:

  • Reject refund requests
  • Suspend or terminate user accounts

9. Policy Changes

TalkMedX reserves the right to update this Refund & Cancellation Policy at any time. Updated policies will be posted on this page with the revised date.
